This 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe belongs to Al Gezann.  Al is a retired police officer from the City of Euclid.  Al worked for almost four years on his Ford.  It is equipped with a 1955 Chevy 265 cubic inch small block.  Al assisted with the finish, including the flames, and did all the body prep and mechanical work himself.  Al also transports cars part-time in his 24 foot auto trailer.  If you or someone you know needs a auto transport, Al can be reached at (440) 298-3009.

This factory built 1965 427 S/C Cobra Replicar was built by SUPERFORMANCE and belongs to Charlie Gibbs.  Charlie is a retired Deputy Sheriff from Butler County, Ohio.  In place of a 427; Charlie chose a 1966 460 from a Thunderbird; built with roller rockers, ported Ford Cobra-Jet aluminum racing heads, a matched Edlebrock Performer RPM intake manifold, and a Holley 800 CFM double-pumper.  The engine has MSD ignition and a billet distributor with RPM selector.  After being built, the engine was tested on a dyno machine, and produced over 560 HP.  Some other owners of these SUPERFORMANCE cars include Bob Bondurant and Bob Olthoff, who raced with Carroll Shelby in the sixties, on the Ford Cobra Team.  It was this team that won LeMans and the World Sports Car championship in 1965.

Mike Goddard wanted to have an American made car to compete in the import tuning scene, so he took a 2001 Lincoln LS V8 as a base and made some modifications to the engine, body and sound system.  The factory sound system was completely removed and replaced with a Alpine DVD/CD player connected to two 1600 watt amplifiers which drive two 12" subwoofers, two tweeters and 8 6x9 Alpine speakers.  A 12 disk CD changer was installed in the trunk and coming soon a XM satellite radio tuner.  Body enhancements include custom Razzi ground effects, spoiler, Yokahoma tires, Enki rims, Xenon headlamps, and hand painted pin stripes and trim by Dirk Blacker. Engine modifications, currently in progress, include the addition of a NOS system and air intake and exhaust upgrades.  When the engine work is complete, the Lincolns LS's factory standard 252 horse power will be increased to bursts of over 400.  As a final touch, the FOPA vanity plates are entitled SWAT01.

Tim Hoffman is a 2001 retiree of the City of Euclid Police Dept. For his last seven years on the department I was the  K-9 handler. Pictured is his 1969 Firebird.  It's just about all original and is his summer toy.

Larry Hudson served as a law enforcement officer for more than 25 years and Director of the FOP, Ohio Labor Council, Inc. for nearly 15 years.  He is a Charter member of FOP Lodge #139 and a Charter member of Cops 'n Rodders, Inc. His 1938 Plymouth Business Coupe Model P-6 is pictured. The business coupe was designed with the door to door salesman in mind. It comes with a single front seat and a huge trunk area to allow salesmen to carry their wares and products with them on vending routes.  Six and eight passenger family sedans and touring sedans were options back then to carry the family around and to make long trips on mostly gravel roads. This car originally came from Texas where it was restored about seven years ago. It has been stored since then in a barn in Marshallville, Ohio.  The car is all original except for the electrical system, which has been converted to a 12-volt alternator system, and the paint and interior, which have been updated with modern fabric and paint. The car has a little over 42,000 on it.  Its six-cylinder engine, single barrel carburetor, and three speed manual transmission move the car along at an acceptable pace. The ride is soft and smooth considering it is suspended with leaf springs on all four corners.

Ken Kountz is a sergeant with the Mahoning County Sheriff Department.  This is his 1938 Chevy Master Deluxe. It is powered by a 350/350 combo.  Ken's first street rod 100% home built. It was to be in primer, just a fun car, however, after an engine swap, his spouse encouraged and funded the current yellow paint scheme which was applied by Deputy Glenn Kountz of the Mahoning County Sheriff Department and President of FOP Lodge #141. Glenn doesn't let everyone know he can "spray it on" but the paint job turned out spectacular.  This car is a driver all the way, and Ken enjoys making use of it, so much so that he is currently looking for his next project.

Rob Lemmon became a member of Cops n’ Rodders after sponsoring several Car Shows on behalf of Pizza Hut.  He became involved in the Club because of its’ work with the CIRS program. He was the sponsor of a car show in Wadsworth, Ohio with Cops n’ Rodders 2 days before 9/11. After that he wanted to be an active member, so he went looking for a car that would be worthy to show and race. This 1973 Mercury Cougar with a rebuilt 351 Cleveland engine, C-6 revised transmission with a shifter kit and updated rear end for use on the drag strip. The car came here from Arizona and is in its original condition including the paint and interior. The only modifications were boosters to the original drive train. In March of 2003 Rob was elected as the Club’s Activity Director, unfortunately Rob passed away in May of 2003 leaving behind a wife, two children and a loving family. Since then Rob’s widow, Theresa and her two young sons have taken on the task of getting this car together for show and go. The Club transferred Rob’s membership to Theresa who recently showed the and won a couple of awards with this car. We hope that Theresa, Dobber and Dusty continue to cruise with Cops ‘n Rodders.
