This 1966 Corvette Stingray coupe belongs to club member Bruce Mangrum. Bruce is a police sergeant and has been a member of the Akron Ohio Police force for more than 27 years. His Corvette is powered by a 427cubic inch/ 425 horsepower Turbojet engine with a four speed transmission and a 370 rear end. The overall performance of this car is excellent. It is equipped with original cast aluminum wheels, knock-off spinners, red line tires and side pipe exhausts. The color of the car is Silver Pearl and the interior is matching silver, with leather seats. Bruce and his wife Denise enjoy driving the car on road trips throughout Ohio’s countryside and they look forward to seeing you at the many cruise-ins and cars shows they attend. Bruce and Denise have participated in most of the Cops n’ Rodders car shows and displayed the car at the Akron AutoRama last year where they won a division trophy.

Virgil McDaniel's PT Cruser

Virgil McDaniel is the seated Past President of the Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio. "When I first saw a PT Cruiser I knew I had to have one." said Virgil.  Unfortunately, like many, he held off because of the small and weak performance of its’ 4 cylinder engine. He knew that Chrysler would have to come out with something better and just had to wait. In 2003 the PT Dream Cruiser Series 2 came out and sure enough Chrysler brought out a 215 horsepower High Output turbocharged engine. Production began in January 2003 with a limited production of 7500 vehicles. Virgil's PT Cruiser is #153.  It has a lot of other great features like a Sirius Satellite radio, 17 inch chrome wheels and its’ very own badge. Standard equipment includes a moon roof, heated leather seats performance tuned suspension, four wheel disk brakes with ABS and traction control.  The engine is a 2.4-liter engine that creates 215 HP at 5000RPM. Virgil plans to be an active member of Cops n’ Rodders and  is sure he will see you at several of the events scheduled this year.

Dan Mitchell is a past Vice-President of the Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio, Inc. and a charter member of Cops 'n Rodders. Pictured is Dan's 1996 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Collector's Edition.  It has the LT4/5.7 Liter Engine with 300 HP.  The car is Sebring Silver in Color with silver interior and black convertible top.  The Collector's Edition package includes: 17" spoke silver aluminum wheels, Sebring Silver exterior color, perforated leather seats w/Collector's Edition embroidery, and Corvette lettering on brake calipers.  In addition to enjoying his Corvette, Dan's hobbies include working around the house, inside and out, and woodworking (no fingers lost yet).  Dan enjoys golf, fishing and plays in a  softball church league.   He remains active in FOP Local Lodge #69 and plans to become more active in the Hamilton County Retired Officer's Association.
